Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of apk-scanner.com and related services (the "Service"), operated by Zenofex LLC ("Zenofex", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

apk-scanner.com analyzes mobile applications for security and privacy exposure and provides reports, grades, monitoring, and related data. Findings are for informational purposes and are generated by automated static analysis and, where indicated, point-in-time live verification.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for your account, its credentials, and all activity under it. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

3. Acceptable and authorized use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws, including computer-crime, anti-circumvention, export, and privacy laws. You represent and warrant that, for any application you upload or submit for scanning, you either (a) own it or are authorized to assess it, or (b) it is publicly distributed and your assessment is for lawful security research and review.

You must not use the Service or any findings to gain unauthorized access to, attack, disrupt, degrade, or exploit any system, network, data, or account; to violate the rights of any third party; or for any unlawful purpose. You must not resell, scrape, or bulk-extract the Service or its data except through features or APIs we make available under your plan, and you must not circumvent usage limits, rate limits, security, or access controls.

4. Findings, verification & no advice

Reports are automated. "Detected" findings are pattern-based and may be false positives or incomplete; "verified" findings reflect a check at a point in time and may change. We do not warrant that any report is accurate or complete, or that any application is "safe" or "unsafe". Nothing on the Service constitutes legal, security, or other professional advice. You are solely responsible for how you interpret and act upon findings. Live verification is limited to confirming the reachability of publicly-exposed, unauthenticated resources; it does not authenticate, bypass access controls, retrieve your data, or exceed a minimal request. If you believe a finding about your app is inaccurate or outdated, you may request a correction (see §5).

5. Third-party applications & trademarks

The Service references third-party applications and their names, icons, screenshots, and metadata, which belong to their respective owners. Zenofex is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those owners; such materials are used for identification, commentary, and analysis. Rights holders who believe content should be removed may contact us at the address below, and we will respond to valid requests, including under the DMCA. Separately, if you are a developer or rights holder and believe a scorecard or finding is inaccurate, outdated, or should be removed, email security@apk-scanner.com; we review such requests promptly and may correct, annotate, or unpublish the content while we do.

6. Your submissions

If you upload an application binary, you represent you have the right to submit it. We analyze it and delete the binary after processing; we do not redistribute uploaded binaries. We never store raw secrets — only redacted, non-reversible finding metadata — and we may retain finding metadata and aggregate data as part of our corpus.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, text, scores, and aggregated datasets, is owned by Zenofex LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms and your plan, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Subscriptions, billing & taxes

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis through our payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. Fees are exclusive of taxes, which may be added where applicable. You may cancel anytime from the billing portal; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues through the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing on a prospective basis.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zenofex LLC and its affiliates, officers, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).

11. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Zenofex LLC from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your submissions, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

12. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or others. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Texas for any dispute not subject to arbitration or small-claims court.
